The delights of water – the Plitvice Lakes

One-day excursion – 14 May 2014

The lakes in Plitvice National Park form the most beautiful and the oldest of the national parks in Croatia. It is yet another World Heritage Site.
At Plitvice, the water comes from the karst landscape where the rock – usually limestone - has been partly dissolved to create underground channels. There are 16 lakes with cascades and waterfalls which provide visitors with astonishing experiences of the natural beauty of the area. Millions of visitors return there because of a natural harmony that is hard to find anywhere elsewhere. The bus ride will take about three hours to reach the Plitvice Lakes leaving sufficient time to explore their outstanding appeal.

The cost per person is 530 kn (Croatian Kuna) plus about 7,00 € transfer fee. This covers the bus plus entrance fee.  Meals are not included.
