The city of Kraków:
Learning from different perspectives
You can sign up for these tours when you register on arrival.
We will have a chance to discover some of Kraków and its fascinating history from different viewpoints. In small groups we will explore the old city centre, different museums and other sites. We will follow the traces of Polish heroes as well as ordinary people, discuss innovative ideas of guiding through, or presenting, heritage and exchange ideas with local people who have a part in this.
Evening in Krakow
To conclude the day you will have a choice: either to explore Kraków on your own, or to join us for dinner and live music at Jama Michalika restaurant in Kraków, located in the old city centre (additional cost: 19 € for dinner with live music).
Jama Michalika opened in 1895 and offered meals to students from the nearby Academy of Fine Arts a free meal in exchange for a small works of art. The restaurant quickly became popular not only because of its paintings but also because of the cabaret evenings with a puppet theatre where dolls depicted prominent Krakówians. Since the interior and furniture, as well as many artefacts have remained from the Art Nouveau period, Jama Michalika is an unforgettable place for socialising while enjoying a real Polish dinner.
A bus will take us back to Przegorzaly but you can choose to stay, enjoy Kraków's night life and take a taxi back to the guest house.
