Old town walks

What makes an authentic Prague experience? We thought it might be a good idea to follow in the footsteps of Prague's citizens - by leaving any tour buses out and getting a 24-hour ticket for the metro, which took us directly into the heart of the old town.

There was no better way to explore the narrow streets of Prague's historic centre than on foot. We saw the main tourist attractions but also dived deeper into a period when the foundation stones of its magnificence were laid. We visited exhibitions on the Prague gothic construction boom, Charles Bridge in particular, with an opportunity to talk to authors and keepers. Locals showed us a breath taking photo spot for a Prague Castle panorama, which most tourists only pass under.

Finally, we stayed for dinner, enjoying the atmosphere of a local brewery near the Charles square, which was for centuries the largest market square in Europe.

Borders? I have never seen one.
But I have heard they exist
in the minds of some people.
